I bet $1 million U.S. that you can’t find a more frustrating website to use than ORESTAR. It’s built like a damn Geocities site circa 1997.
But the information it unlocks is synonymously amazing & depressing. ORESTAR is essentially a running list of receipts documenting the disastrous state of campaign finance in Oregon.
It’s more than that, though.
It’s an unassailable arbiter of which interests have purchased what candidates.
A ledger of legalized bribery.
